TARASK Pharus Morti CD

Plunge into the bleak, brooding atmosphere of French black metal with Pharus Morti, the haunting 2021 CD album by underground entity Tarask, released through Feu Follet Productions. Blending cold, sharp riffs, mournful melodies, and unyielding vocal venom across eight gripping compositions, this release captures a deeply hypnotic and melancholic vision of darkness. The journey opens with the sinister drive of Sombre appel, leading directly into the cold, rolling waves of Vague and the expansive, shadow-draped textures of Silhouette. In a fascinating highlight, the band delivers a stunning, chilling rendition of Akira Yamaoka's Laura's Theme from Silent Hill 2, seamlessly fusing video game dark nostalgia with underground black metal extremity. The album presses further into madness with the suffocating weight of Asile and Descente, before surging through the cyclical aggression of Ouroboros and closing with the ceremonial ritualistic force of Rituel. Essential for collectors of atmospheric French extreme metal, dark melancholic black metal art, and subterranean underground pressings.
