INTO SICKNESS Reasons to Grind Vol.II CD

Hailing from Mexico City, the grindcore act Into Sickness released the EP Reasons to Grind Vol. II in September 2014 through the German label Splatter Zombie Records. This release is a continuation of the band's mission to deliver high-intensity, socially-conscious grindcore that blends the frantic speed of the genre with technical death metal precision. The recording was handled at Jade Empire Studio in Mexico, while the mixing and mastering were completed by Christopher Swahn at Worship Nothing Studio in Sweden, resulting in a production that is both raw and professionally polished for the international extreme metal scene. The EP consists of ten tracks with a total runtime of approximately 18 minutes, featuring a lineup of Kriz Ramírez on guitar, bass, and vocals, Rogelio Navarro on drums, and Trixuz Robles on vocals. The tracklist includes Intro, Entropy Behavior, Ajenjo Negro, Bastos 11D, Mambanigrind, Orphic Deconstruction, La Danza de Ifrits, Flujo Bélico Capital, Chaneques, and Drop Your Pills Out. Unlike many of their peers on the Splatter Zombie roster who focus on gore or humor, Into Sickness utilizes their platform to explore themes of nihilism and societal critique, all while maintaining a relentless barrage of blast beats and abrasive riffing. This volume helped solidify the band's presence in the global underground, bridging the gap between the vibrant Mexican extreme scene and European listeners.
