EXCURSE Sitra Ahra CD

Embark on an hypnotic journey through dark, cavernous death doom with Sitra Ahra, the sprawling 2022 CD album by Spanish underground act Excurse, released through Dying Sun Records. Spanning nearly forty minutes of heavy, atmospheric desolation across four massive compositions, this release delivers a ritualistic onslaught of crushing riffs and suffocating soundscapes. The sonic descent begins with the hypnotic, heavy grooves of Sacred Dance, sweeping into the sinister, drifting melodies of Beyond the Nile of Sleep. The album grows progressively darker with the crushing weight of Death Chant of Aion, before culminating in the monumental sixteen-minute epic Séance, a sprawling masterpiece of bleak, slow-burning devastation. Heavy, oppressive, and deeply immersive, this CD is an absolute must-have for collectors of underground doom and abyssal extreme metal.
