AZKETEM Inzernznytazure ‎CD

Hailing from Germany, Azketem is the solo project of the musician Azken, who debuted with this powerful recording (often treated as a full-length due to its high production quality and depth) titled Inzernznytazure. Released on CD by the Spanish label A Fine Day To Die Records, this work is an impressive piece of atmospheric yet aggressive Black Metal. Unlike many lo-fi solo projects, Azketem stands out for its sharp, balanced production where blistering drum work and razor-edged riffs never sacrifice clarity. Azken’s vocal delivery has often been compared to the iconic rasp of Abbath (early Immortal era) but infused with a more sinister, cavernous tone. The album expertly balances moments of pure thrashy aggression with minimalist synthesizer passages that create an aura of ancient desolation and mysticism. Limited to 500 hand-numbered copies, this release solidified Azketem as a standout name in the German underground, serving as the perfect precursor to the more melancholic and progressive paths the project would explore in later years.
