Hailing from the United States, Aucun emerged in the underground with a haunting and deeply atmospheric debut, Demo I - MMXVIII. Released on CD by the Italian label War Against Yourself, this work is a masterclass in Depressive/Atmospheric Black Metal (DSBM). The demo consists of two long, sprawling tracks—"Aucun I" and "Aucun II"—that together create nearly 30 minutes of sonic desolation. The music is defined by its repetitive, hypnotic guitar melodies and a lo-fi production that enhances its spectral, ghostly quality.
