WHALESONG Radiant Suns Deformed CD
Radiant Suns Deformed is a fascinating companion piece to the Polish band Whalesong’s monumental album, Radiance of a Thousand Suns. Rather than a standard follow-up, this CD is a deconstruction album featuring remixes, reinterpretations, and decompositions by various underground artists. The album moves away from the band's typical Industrial/Sludge Metal roots and dives deep into experimental territory. It blends a wide array of dark genres, including Dark Ambient, Drone, Synthwave, Dub, and Power Electronics. High-profile contributors such as Aidan Baker (from Nadja), Khost, and Miro Snejdr (Death in June) lend their unique styles to deform the original tracks into something unrecognizable and hypnotic. Released by the label Old Temple on a gold CD, it serves as a sprawling, 70 minute immersive experience that is more atmospheric and mantric than the band's heavier guitar-driven work. It is highly recommended if you enjoy the darker, more industrial side of experimental music or the Cold Meat Industry aesthetic.
