STRIKE MASTER Strike Master CD
The 2017 self-titled album Strike Master by the Mexican band Strike Master, released in a professional CD digipak edition by Concreto Records, marks a pivotal moment of musical maturity for one of Mexico's most renowned thrash metal acts. Founded in Mexico City in 2005, the band transitioned from their early old school speed-obsessed roots into a more complex, technical, and progressive thrash sound with this release. While the album was initially self-released by the band in October 2017, the partnership with Concreto Records ensured a high-quality physical distribution, providing fans with a definitive version that reflects the band’s elevated production standards and artistic evolution. The album features ten tracks that showcase a modern take on the genre, blending high-velocity riffs with darker atmospheres and more intricate song structures than their previous works. The tracklist includes Follow Me, No Future, Boy In The Hole, and As I March, alongside standout pieces like Urban Phantasms, The Mortarist, and Anti Aerial Witchunt Battery. The latter half of the record continues with Chant Of Falcons, Machines of Mercy, and closes with the aggressive Born Horrible. Featuring the lineup of Colonel KMU on guitar and lead vocals alongside Corp. Picos and the legendary bass player Tony Choy (known for his work with Pestilence and Atheist) as a special guest, this self-titled effort redefined Strike Master's identity, proving their ability to innovate within the thrash metal framework while maintaining the relentless energy that made them an international underground staple.
