SATURNIAN TEMPEL Kronos CD

Plunge into the dark, esoteric abyss of French atmospheric doom and black metal with Kronos, the mesmerizing CD album by underground project Saturnian Tempel, originally released in 2020 and reissued in 2021 by Non Posse Mori Records. Fusing crushing slow-tempo riffs, hypnotic ambient soundscapes, and soaring esoteric weight across six sprawling compositions, this release offers a deeply immersive and unsettling listening experience. The album ignites with the massive seven-minute opener The Angel, setting a heavy, ritualistic tone before plunging into the suffocating, complex structures of The Twelve Apostles of Matter and the hypnotic title track Krónos. The journey deepens with the apocalyptic momentum of A Greater Scheme for a Greater Ending, leading into an astonishing, dark-metal reimagining of Placebo's classic My Sweet Prince, transformed into an eight-minute masterpiece of melancholic doom. Concluding with the majestic, sprawling force of I Carry the Stench of Divinity, this album is a mandatory addition for collectors of esoteric European black doom, atmospheric subterranean art, and exclusive Non Posse Mori Records reissues.
