QUI INCENDITUR Doctrine of the Six Regions - Succession Through Fire and Ondulant Tribulations CD

The 2013 album Doctrine of the Six Regions, subtitled Succession Through Fire and Ondulant Tribulations, is the debut full-length release from the Portuguese black metal project Qui Incenditur, issued through the cult underground label Nekrogoat Heresy Productions. This work is the creation of the multi-instrumentalist Gonius Rex, a prominent figure in the Lusitanian scene known for his work in projects such as Onirik and Mors Liberatrix. Conceptually, the album serves as a ritualistic tribute to the end of times, meticulously structured around six stages of spiritual and planetary collapse, where each track represents a region in the process of ultimate extinction. The musical journey consists of six expansive compositions that blend violent aggression with a desperate, dissonant atmosphere. The record begins with Infinitas and Genesis, establishing a sound defined by undulating guitar riffs and torn, agonizing vocals that seem to echo from a void. As the listener moves through Evolutio, Decadentia, and Terra, the music maintains a suffocating and chaotic energy, eventually culminating in the apocalyptic finale Finis Temporis. Released as a professional six-panel digipak CD limited to 500 copies, the album is noted for its raw yet atmospheric production that captures the ritualistic essence of the occult black metal movement. It remains a significant and challenging piece of Portuguese extreme metal, standing as a testament to the uncompromising creative vision of its creator during a highly productive era for the domestic underground.
