GRAVKVÄDE Prolog CD

Experience the suffocating weight of abyssal Swedish funeral doom and depressive black metal with Prolog, the devastating 2024 CD album by Gravkväde, released through Dying Sun Records. Spanning over twenty-seven minutes of crushing desolation and raw emotional agony across four tracks, this release delivers a hypnotic, slow-burning descent into total darkness. The sonic ordeal opens with the monumental eight-minute weight of Till den bittra verklighetens förfogande, driving deeply into themes of bleak reality before flowing into the relentless, circular despair of Hjulet En evighet av cirkulär existens. A brief, haunting respite arrives with the delicate instrumental piece Måne, setting an eerie calm before the album culminates in the monolithic, tragic finale En himlakropps dödsbädd. Heavy, mournful, and deeply atmospheric, this CD is an absolute mandatory piece for collectors of Swedish funeral doom and underground extremity.
