GORE THROWER Feast on Mortals CD

The 2024 album Feast on Mortals by the Hungarian death metal band Gore Thrower, released through Death Trap Productions, marks the third major studio effort from this Budapest based group. Following their digital release in December 2024, the physical CD edition was scheduled for early 2025 to satisfy the demands of the underground physical market. The album continues the band's tradition of delivering old-school death metal that balances brutal intensity with a dark, morbid sense of humor and a party-compatible groove that has made them a staple of the Hungarian live circuit. Musically, the album features six tracks that emphasize mid-tempo, thrash-influenced rhythms and simple but effective primal themes, a style the band has refined since their Vatican Deathfest era. The tracklist includes The Smart Stay Dead, Dinner Date, Gore in Da House, Tainted with Gore, Fleshdance, and Last Dead Standing. Recorded and mixed by guitarist Erik Vándor at RX Studio, the production maintains a raw and punchy sound that highlights MK Atorz's deep guttural vocals and the dual-guitar attack of Vándor and László Kliment. The visual identity of the album is rounded out by cover art from Hunor Molnár, depicting a scene of grisly, titular carnage. This release reinforces Gore Thrower's position as a prominent force in the Hungarian death metal scene, offering a direct and uncompromising experience that avoids modern trends in favor of visceral, classic songwriting.
