Eltun is a fierce pagan black metal band from Chile that stands out in the underground extreme metal scene for its deep focus on pre-Hispanic history, Mapuche mythology, and ancestral warfare. In 2023, the band unleashed their powerful full-length album titled A La Sombra Del Pillan, which was unleashed to the global underground community through a joint effort by the labels Acid Vicious and Remparts Productions. Deeply tied to the southern Chilean landscapes and historical resistance, the record features the talent of multi-instrumentalist Ngen-Winkul and delivers a blistering, raw sonic assault that balances chaotic, lo-fi black metal violence with acoustic folk interludes and dark ambient passages.
