DISCIPLINE 2150 CD

Discipline is a raw black metal project hailing from France that made its mark on the underground extreme metal scene with the release of the EP titled 2150. Released in 2022 through the label Acid Vicious, this record delivers a fierce, uncompromising sonic assault characterized by harsh, lo-fi production, aggressive guitar riffs, and piercing vocals. The release stands out for its cold, mechanical aesthetic, choosing numerical titles for its tracks which enhances the grim and detached atmosphere of the music. The five-track EP opens with 1978, a track that immediately sets a sinister and chaotic tone through its blistering tempo and raw instrumentation. This energy carries into the shorter, more frantic burst of 7850, which serves as a relentless bridge into the title track, 2150, acting as the dark, driving centerpiece of the record. The auditory onslaught continues unabated through the abrasive and hostile sounds of 1797, before finally culminating in 1993, which closes the EP with a final wave of unyielding black metal fury and bleak dissonance.
