CELESTIA / BLACK DRAUGWATH Split 666 CD

CELESTIA / BLACK DRAUGWATH Split 666 CD

A true testament to the rawest origins of European Black Metal, Split 666 brings together two legendary names from the 90s underground: France’s Celestia and Russia’s Black Draugwath who would later evolve into the renowned Blackdeath. Originally released as a rare and obscure tape, this CD version by Drakkar Productions rescues these seminal recordings for the first time in digital format. Celestia contributes their 1997 demo Evanescence, showcasing the early stages of their signature melancholic and mournful black metal, led by the unmistakable Sir Noctu. On the other side, Black Draugwath presents The Bottomless Armageddon (1998), a display of primitive, uncompromising, and cold Russian black metal. Remastered to preserve the grit and atmosphere of the original tapes, this split is an essential piece of history for any devoted follower of the 90s Black Metal scene and the Drakkar Productions legacy.
