ВОЛКОЛАК Ice Hike & Tales of the Old Wolf CD

Experience the fierce, heathen spirit of Russian pagan folk metal with Ice Hike & Tales of the Old Wolf, the powerful 2016 European CD release by cult underground act Volkolak, issued through Crush the Desert Records. Serving as the special European edition of the album originally titled Ledyanoi Pokhod I Skazki Starogo Volka, this standalone disc gathers all fourteen tracks into a distinct packaging that captures the band's trademark mix of heroic folk acoustic melodies, harsh slavic vocals, and pagan metal energy. The journey opens with the instrumental atmosphere of Alone Against the Tumen before charging through the pagan anthems Borned by Volkolak, My Far East, and Varangian Marching Song. The album maintains its captivating, heroic drive through I Remember, Under the Age-Old Pine, and the dramatic narrative of The Witch. Ice Hike, before surging into White Swans, Black Ravens and the sweeping epic Ragnarok. Continuing its heathen voyage through Winter's Time, Fierce Rapids, Wolves, Wolves, and Winter, Dawn, the record delivers its final powerful blow with From Brother to Enemy. Essential for collectors of authentic East European pagan folk metal, pagan battle hymns, and rare European pressings.
